Marbella is well known for its beautiful beaches and historical places however it’s at night that many of the town’s beach clubs come into their own.
Located to the east of the town is Nikki Beach Club, Marbella’s must-visit beach club. The concept of combining a beach club with fashion, art, dining and entertainment was first introduced to Marbella in 1998. Today, Nikki Beach is considered to be the hottest spot on the coast, and due to its success the clubs can now be found in St. Tropez, France, Miami Beach, Florida, or Koh Samui, Thailand.
On the 6th of July, Nikki Beach celebrated their 9th anniversary, inviting all friends including Redline Company to join in the fun.
Sala Beach at Puerto Banús is a relative newcomer. The Thai-inspired beach club offers a wide range of facilities including a restaurant, spa and the opportunity to party all night. It has become a regular haunt for celebrities and footballers.
The Ocean Club has the distinction of being one of the largest beach clubs in Europe, with over 900 square metres of luxurious surroundings. It is also renowned for holding events such as the fun fuelled Champagne Spray Party. Located in the heart of Puerto Banús, guests can relax on oversized sun loungers or escape the heat by jumping in the enormous salt water swimming pool. The restaurant is also well known for the marvellous waiter service and excellent cuisine.
On Friday 9th July, Women in Business Spain celebrated their 10th anniversary with a slap up lunch, liberal amounts of wine and a lot of laughs, at the Tikitano restaurant in Estepona. Reinforcing all the reasons why the organisation has been such a success over the last decade.
Women in Business Spain started out as a small group of ladies meeting in Marbella, today it is considered to be one of the most effective female support systems on the Costa del Sol. It provides a platform for like-minded ladies to share ideas and of course to spread the word about their respective businesses and skills.
Having reached the milestone 10 year anniversary, the ladies of WIBS decided to really push the boat out, choosing the spectacular beach side restaurant Tikitano, as the setting for a delicious celebratory lunch. A menu of fine food, good wine and heart-felt speeches was followed by a fashion show by Twist boutique (CC La Colonia, San Pedro) and a raffle with prizes supplied by each WIBS member.
Caroline Bowley, President of WIBs says “We are extremely proud that after 10 years WIBS is stronger than ever. When running a business, especially in hard times, support and inspiration are essential – and this is what WIBS does best”.
WIBS also provides the opportunity to get involved with local charities, forge business alliances and of course make new friends and let your hair down at the regular social events.

This summer Marbella is set to play host to a number of music festivals attracting a good mix of famous artists that will appeal to both the young and the old.
The season kicked off with Gloria Gaynor and Sister Sledge, who performed live at the Puente Romano Hotel on the 7th July 2012, belting out chart toppers like “I Will Survive” and “We Are Family” to a delighted crowd. Shortly to be followed by Chaka Khan the “Queen of Disco”, famous for hits like “Ain’t Nobody” and “I´m Every Woman”, who is set to sing at the same venue the 14th August 2012.
The third Starlight Festival will take place at Marbella’s “La Cantera” quarry from the 13th July to the 14th August. This year’s lineup will feature George Benson, ex-Supertramp front man Roger Hodgens, Tony Bennett, Christopher Cross, Hugh Laurie, Paul Anka, Miguel Bosé, Raphael, Estopa, Armando Manzanero, Simple Minds, Rosario, Lolita, Antonia Carmona and also Julio Iglesias.
On the nights without live concerts, DJs will play new sounds and Burlesque, Fusion Flamenco and Circus shows will take place in the Starlight Festival lounge. Paco Roncero, owner of the legendary El Bullí restaurant is also on hand to spoil the guests with tasty tapas.
At the heart of the festival is the famous Starlite Gala, which consistently attracts big names such as Eva Longoria and Melanie Griffith. This year’s Honorary Chair is Antonio Banderas, which should be reason enough to guarantee a good turnout.
Redline will be in full voice, singing along with the best of them!

Last week the Nikki Beach Club in Marbella celebrated its ninth anniversary and Redline Company was of course at the event with hundreds of fellow party-goers.
At night this world renowned nightclub turned into a glamorous party area, and it was clear that Nikki Beach had organized a party not to be forgotten. To get things going, each guest was treated to a delicious welcome drink. At midnight there was an exhilarating firework display that could easily rival any New Year’s Eve show. Furthermore, sexy go-go dancers encouraged revelers to show their hottest moves. They were followed by a huge variety of acts providing a seemingly endless stream of attractions.
Nikki Beach is no ordinary club. It is easy to understand why it’s considered a hotspot for the jet set and celebrities; definitely the place for those who want to see and be seen.
The Redline team had a fantastic night and will be counting the days until the next big Nikki Beach Club event.
Over the past few years, social media has become an essential form of communication, so much so, that it’s now difficult to imagine life without it.
Taking the idea one step further, some clever “tweeters” from Marbella decided to add a “real life” element by arranging monthly “Tweet-ups”. The events are held in a different bar or restaurant each month, providing the opportunity to socialise, network and exchange business cards. These monthly gatherings have proved extremely popular amongst a wide range of businesses and nationalities.
As a keen advocate of the “Tweet-up”, The Redline Company team attended the most recent meeting which was held at the Cosmopolitan Bar on the 4th July. Whilst enjoying delicious tapas and refreshing drinks, the team from Redline Company had a great time chatting about business and just about every other subject under the sun.
The Marbella Tweet-ups not only provide participants with the chance to network with potential business partners but also an opportunity to raise the company’s profile. Redline Company sees these gatherings as a useful tool for spreading the word and is looking forward to the next one.
One of the perks of working at Redline Company is the opportunity to check out what’s going on both online and around Marbella, making sure we always have our finger on the pulse!
This week our interest was piqued by a short video posted on YouTube which really caught our attention. What the devil does the title “A breeze is coming from Thailand to Puerto Banús” refer to? We can’t wait to find out more!
At first glance it looks like a trailer for a sophisticated holiday experience from Thailand to Banús, but that doesn’t make sense. Perhaps the ethereal figure on the beach, softly trickling water and bamboo hint at some kind of relaxing oriental experience or new treatment soon to hit Spain.
After all, Thailand is currently one of the most popular long-haul holiday destinations, so whatever lovely Thai treat is blown on the breeze, it’s certain to receive a warm welcome in Marbella.
Don’t worry, Redline are on the case!
Since its introduction social media has become too important to ignore, and as a result the relationship between company and customer has changed significantly. Social media provides a virtual business meeting venue, where it is difficult to control the outcome and customers are able to see through superficial statements and indiscriminate ‘likes’. Social media can make a big impact upon your business, so here are a few tips to help you avoid making some fundamental mistakes:
So get your message out there, but don’t be tempted to use social media as yet another channel merely to advertise. Redline Company has considerable experience in helping companies to harness the potential of social media sites. To find out more contact us on: email@example.com or 952 816 678.
On Friday the 6th of July at Tikitano Beach Restaurant & Lounge in Estepona, Women in Business will celebrate its 10th anniversary. As Redline company owner Line Lyster is a board member of WIBs, Redline is a regular participant at their events and is extensively involved with their work.
The WIB organization brings together successful business women in Marbella, who meet on a regular basis to share their ideas and experiences of doing business on the Costa del Sol.
They offer support to all women who want to start up their own business. Besides providing encouragement and support, it’s a good way to make new friendships. Guests are always welcome to all of the WIB events. We look forward seeing you there.
