The tale of the Redline fish

Tuesday, October 26th, 2010

As you may have seen in our recent newsletter it is time to get ready for Christmas – although we are only starting to feel that it is autumn.

In Redline we are chasing after the positive feeling of yearly satisfaction – with regard to work tasks – awarding each other with nothing other than Redline fishes!

The fishes represent a good deed; an appreciation for a good result, new client, new initiative etc. Whatever is worth special recognition. The fishes are normally given by Line but can later on be passed between the staff members.

Whoever gets the most fish until the annual Christmas dinner will get an exciting surprise…

To be continued!

Costa del Sol Business Awards

Thursday, October 21st, 2010

Today, Thursday 21st October, the 3rd year consecutive Costa del Sol Foreign Business Awards is taking place at the recently restored and inaugurated hotel Los Monteros in Marbella.

The only requirements to participate in the event itself as well as the awards competition (yes you could also bring home a price, apart from a lot of new business contacts!) is by being a businessman or woman, a foreigner, be up to date with taxes and social security payments and registrations and be based in Andalucía.

The award show has been made to make the Andalusian expat business community stand out and be recognised and promoted for its excellence, good practice and innovation. Amongst the award categories are; Integration in Andalusia, Award for Innovation, Business Promotion of Andalusia, Association Award, the award for Young Entrepreneur and also Company of the Year.

With a mix of business and pleasure, Redline is attending this year’s Business awards in great expectation… Who knows, maybe we’ll bring one of those golden trophies back to the office?

Bio Sculpture fresh spring colours!

Tuesday, October 19th, 2010

We have been working for the past year as the external marketing department for Bio Sculpture in Spain. As part of the retainer package this month we have been designing their new Spanish catalogue  http://www.redlinecompany.com/details.php?itemid=166.

The Bio Sculpture brand had a touch up of their product branding this spring and changed their colours from navy blue to a fresh glittery champagne colour. So before our work on the design could commence, all their products had to be photographed with its new packaging. We liaised with lovely photographer Ruth Jones and this is the result.

Redline’s Tres Amigos

Thursday, October 14th, 2010

Last month Redline designed menus and signs for Marbella’s new Dutch restaurant “Tres Amigos”.

Located on the C/ De Faro next to the Parque de la Constitución, it is offering Dutch tapas as well as French and German specialities.

We were happy to see how nice the restaurant looked, and the food was really great.

Thank you Wouter and the rest of the Tres Amigos  team for inviting us!

Redline and Marea roja at Nikki Beach Red Party

Tuesday, October 5th, 2010

Back in summer Spain won the world championship in football and everyone was talking about the “marea roja” (crimson tide), mainly referring to the Spanish team’s t-shirt, and the many flags waving in the air for weeks and weeks all though summer…

Yesterday another good reason to dress up in red from top to toe was the annual Red Party at Nikki Beach.  Being close to our 6th anniversary it is no surprise that we made a corporate event out of it, all sponsored by the Redline Goddess (a recent invention of our dear colleague Lulu).

Happy as ever you can see us posing in front of the photo call – ready to have some fun. And did we ever!! We don’t know whether it was all that red colour everywhere but there was a fabulous vibe in the air last night that no one at Nikki Beach Marbella could avoid!

As you may have noticed from earlier posts on to our blog in Redline we are very much corporate. We drink our coffee from red mugs, our brochures are always red, our stationary is tainted with red ink… and so on!
