Redline Company was recently asked to develop a brand new website for healthplanspain.com, a health insurance company. This proved an enjoyable project, since the site required some very specific features, such as a price comparison option and a detailed quote request form.

The main focus was to present a great deal of intricate information in a format that is clear and easy to read. This called for a layout that minimised the complexities of the content while ensuring that potential clients seeking health insurance were able to access the data that they needed to make a decision without being deterred by unnecessarily text-heavy pages.

Dudley, Redline Company’s web designer, was able to complete the project within a very short space of time.

WIBS Breakfast Meeting

Following its successful breakfast meeting in October 2011, Women In Business Spain is yet again appealing to early birds by holding its first get-together of 2012 on Friday February 3rd at San Pedro’s popular venue, The Passion Café.

Members and their guests are invited to arrive at 10:00 for breakfast and at 10:30 there will be an official welcome, followed by an opportunity for members to speak about their business for two minutes.

Redline Company’s Line Lyster is an enthusiastic member of the Women In Business Spain team and will be attending the meeting. What are your ambitions for your company in 2012?

It’s that time of year when business leaders start to plan for the year ahead. It’s an exciting period, when everything seems possible and no problem seems insurmountable.

Ambitious plans are essential if your company is to stay ahead of the opposition. When we ask clients what they would most like to achieve they invariably reply, “I want to be Number One on Google”.

If you have been thinking about storming your way up the Google charts, there are many factors to consider.

Before you start you should ask yourself these key questions:

  1. Do you have Google Analytics or any other statistical software installed on your site? Employing the use of one of these can enable you to see where your visitors come from, how long they stay and what kind of keywords they are using to find your site.
  2. What is your conversion rate? It isn’t just about attracting thousands of visitors to your site. The key is how efficiently you are drawing in and retaining the type of high quality prospective clients that you are seeking – and converting their initial interest into sales.
  3. How visible and efficient is your call to action? Even if you are constantly inundated with top quality leads it’s not going to help if there is nowhere that they can register their interest. What is your bounce rate?
  4. Is your site complemented by interesting, informative and attractive SEO text?Do you know what your keywords are? Does the text on your website read well, yet still include all your keywords?
  5. Are your Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn profiles working well for you? Do you update them regularly? Do you know how best to use them to attract clients? Do you have a coherent and thorough social media plan?

If your clientele is local rather than international you should also ask yourself whether a top Google ranking is even something on which you should be expending time and energy. If your customers prefer to visit your premises you may well find that a friendly smile and the offer of a cup of coffee is worth far more to your company!

 

Redline invades Megabowl!

We were all very sad recently when our intern, Jana Hirkova, left us to return to her university course inDenmark, but we were determined to take her on one more night out before she went!

 

The decision was taken to go to Megabowl Marbella in La Cañada for an evening of ten-pin bowling, which was a lot of fun – even if most of us were appalling!Dudleywas appointed our unofficial coach and we did manage to improve under his expert supervision. In the end Jana was declared the overall winner, with more strikes than anybody else.

 

We hope that Jana will remember her stay with us as a happy time, but doubt that she will retain a lasting impression of the Redline gang as brilliant bowlers!

 

We would also like to express thanks to the superb team at Megabowl Marbella for making our night out such fun.

Unique Beauty set to improve the face of Marbella

Marbella’s beautiful people made their way to the city’s latest beauty salon, Unique Beauty when it opened on Monday 28th of November.

 

This state-of-the-art salon offers something quite unique; clients can spend the day undergoing a series of head-to-toe treatments since Unique Beauty’s creator, Emad Fakoury, has devised a space that allows hairdressing services, massage, hair removal, nail maintenance and skincare areas to co-exist under one roof.

Redline is acting as Unique Beauty’s external marketing department and has already constructed and written content for their website, as well as shooting a video for YouTube. Judging by the interest shown at the opening, it won’t be long before Unique Beauty’s appointment book is full.

La Fishita opens its doors

On Friday 2nd of December British style ‘chippy’, our client La Fishita opened its doors to the public for the first time. This friendly, family fish and chip restaurant is located opposite the entrance to the H10 Andalucía Plaza Hotel and offers both eat-in and takeaway menus.

 

We visited La Fishita on the way home from our bowling evening, so have already enjoyed some of the wonderful dishes offered on the takeaway menu. We particularly recommend the traditionally cut British style chips, which are a completely different experience to the skinny American-style fries that are usually served these days, not to mention the gorgeous cod in batter.

 

If you’re looking for something a bit different from the usual beef burger, La Fishita serves a delicious fish burger. Served, as you would expect, in a bun, the “crabby pattie” is a tasty alternative for a meat-free night!

Redline attends the opening of the Red Penguin Art Gallery

On Friday 9th of December 2011, Redline was invited to attend the opening of the Red Penguin Art Gallery in the Home & Decoration section of El Corte Inglés at El Capricho, Marbella.

 

We don’t claim to be experts on contemporary art, but there was more than enough on display to keep us thoroughly entertained. This exciting new venue sprung from the inspired imaginations of Dutch art experts, Joris Marjot and Loni Olfers and looks likely to become one of the hottest places in town to view contemporary art.

 

Redline Company wishes Joris and Loni all the best and hopes that the Red Penguin Gallery will soon be viewed as the hottest place in Marbella to view modern art.

Gecko Winter Pro Tour and the importance of merchandising

Redline Company was originally approached by Paul Netherton and Rupert Hubbard of the Gecko Winter Pro Tour to design a new website and manage the social media aspect of the Gecko Tour. This was an interesting and rewarding task in itself, but golf being a high index sport and the Gecko Winter Tour being new a new concept, Rupert and Paul also requested some Gecko Winter Pro Tour Merchandise.

In consultation with the Gecko team, Redline was able to help them to decide on appropriate products and to create a range of Gecko Winter Pro Tour merchandise that would be useful to competitors and spectators. The four items initially requested were fruit energy sweets wrapped in paper bearing the Gecko logo, a short pencil ideal for filling in score cards, a lanyard for passes, keys and memory sticks and a ballpoint pen in the Gecko colours with the name of the tour embossed on the barrel.

Redline has been requested to produce merchandise for a number of clients over the years and the results have always been impressive. The key is to choose the correct products for your corporate image, which is why the brains behind Gecko Winter Pro Tour have made some excellent choices.

Oasis Dental Clinic’s intensive marketing campaign

Every so often our clients change our way of thinking about marketing and this was certainly true when Redline Company was employed by Dr. Nina King of Oasis Dental Clinic as the practice’s external marketing department. Oasis Dental Clinic in Marbella had been marketing their services in-house for quite some time, but felt they needed advice from Redline to find a new strategy for this autumn. When Line sat down with Dr. King and discussed what Redline’s contribution should be, an intensive three-month campaign was born.

While some would imagine that a dental practice would scarcely offer sufficient opportunity to power an eye-catching marketing offensive, the Redline team was able to join forces with Oasis Dental Clinic and construct three specific offers to run in October, November and December.

October’s special offer concerned the replacement of old, grey amalgam fillings with new tooth-coloured composite, November’s revolved around discounts on preliminary work for complete mouth makeovers and December’s invites clients to gain cheaper teeth whitening treatments in time for the party season.

This strictly targeted campaign has several advantages, not the least being that it encourages a feeling of urgency in potential patients, since each offer is relevant only to that month.

Redline Company recommends that existing and prospective clients should consider an intensive campaign themselves, since it is possible to build an exciting short-term campaign for even small and medium sized companies with a comparatively small marketing budget.
